OUR STORY
Got '99 Problems but Your Soap Shouldn't be One...
Our story begins with a vision to liberate you from the basic, offering you more than just soap- it’s the groove you’ve been missing. Four men set out on a mission to create a business that transcends the mundane and fell in love with the freshness that is Soap So Fresh.
Inspired by the vibrant beats of hip-hop and soulful melodies of neo-soul, our brand is a nod to nostalgia, crafting a journey that resonates from within. Our commitment goes beyond natural and organic soaps; it’s about empowering your skin and uplifting each other through our Rise Up Initiative.
We invite you to indulge in the Soap So Fresh experience—crafted with honesty, celebrating culture, and speaking directly to the confident, intentional person you are. Join us as we redefine skincare, making every wash a soulful, liberating experience. At Soap So Fresh, we’re not just setting the bar; we’re setting the movement. Embrace your freshness, embrace your groove—and welcome to the revolution in skincare.
Abdur-Rahim Shaheed
Abdur-Rahim Shaheed, a longtime Atlanta resident and experienced sales and marketing professional, co-founded True Products, a laundry product company featured in various media. A U.S. Military veteran, he has launched successful ventures, including clothing wholesale, restaurants, and a trading company that secured government contracts for poultry and egg distribution. While achieving global business success, Abdur-Rahim remains deeply committed to his community and family, considering his greatest accomplishments to be coaching Little League baseball and basketball. Abdus S. Ra’oof began his career in sales and credit management with Firestone Tires before transitioning to housing, where he served as Project Manager and Housing Coordinator for the Birmingham Urban League. In this role, he directed training programs, facilitated Section 8 housing, provided homeownership counseling, and connected low-income individuals and seniors with jobs. Now President of Shaheed’s Construction Company, Inc., he works as a General and Utility Contractor, building, rehabilitating, and renovating homes in partnership with local and state governments across the South. After a 13-year career at United Parcel Service, he launched Navigator Express Inc., a courier service co-founded with his brother. With 25 years in the service industry, Rashid now owns three businesses, has authored three books, and serves as president of one nonprofit and program director of another. A 30-year volunteer for various nonprofits, he remains devoted to his wife Anisa, their ten children, ten grandchildren, and the community he deeply loves.
Tamir Hassan
Tamir Hasan is the son of an educated man who would deliberately seek out the most troubled child in the elementary school across the street from their house; and that man would teach that child to read–for free. Inspired by his father’s dedication to teaching underserved children to read for free, has been committed to community building for over four decades. Recognizing the importance of financial resources in strengthening communities, Tamir retired from State Farm and launched an international e-commerce business. Driven by the motto “From Dust to Industry,” he aims to establish an industrial warehousing incubator that serves as both a manufacturing and distribution center. This initiative is designed to create a strategic financial base to support purpose-driven community development.
